Our client was looking to relocate their business and considered this property to be in an optimum location to meet their needs. The unit was located in a small parade of local retail units with shared parking to the front and a small service yard to the rear. The proposal related to the ground floor only. The first and second floor had a separate residential use.
The client runs a domestic care and support business and required easy access into their premises for their clients and for their location to be local to their customers. They had submitted an application in relation to the proposed premises, however they had not gained consent. They approached us to assist in gaining a consent and once appointed we submitted a proposal for a revised planning application and provided a supporting statement. Planning permission was subsequently granted, and the business is now fully operational in its new premises.
